Resilo® Energy Physio

Using a gentle wave of motion to reconnect the body, putting it into repair mode & initiating self healing

Resilo® Physiotherapy - Fast pain relief

Resilo® is a soft tissue, reflex therapy and it is done fully clothed. It is a gentle yet effective treatment for physical injury and body stress. Resilo® uses a gentle wave of motion to reconnect the body initiating self-healing. It does so by identifying where the fascia is tight and the therapy helps to release it. This allows your body’s communication system to work better, leaving you more energised and feeling lighter all over.

It is a natural pain relief methodology developed on how the body reacts to pain. It was discovered that tension causes tissues to shut down, causing dysfunction meaning injury/pain/stiffness. Tension can be relieved by following a system designed to adapt to the patient's age, muscular build, height, weight, and degrees of injury or pain. This includes specific body testing of loss of motion and increasing the motion through a complex specialised system of specific wave motions sent through the whole body through hands-on contact.

Thus causing a functional relief and repair of injury/pain/stiffness. This works in a non-invasive way. Synergising well with all types of pain management such as pain drugs and physiotherapy. It can support and aid those suffering from musculoskeletal pain in their pain management journey.

Resilo has an outstanding history of success with a broad range of past clients including professional athletes. I hold session in my cabin in Egham, Surrey.

Emily is 1 in 12 Senior Resilo® Specialists in the world! In November 2022, Emily qualified and received rave reviews during her evaluation.

“It is incredible to see how quickly Emily has progressed with Resilo®; she is a fantastic detective at finding anomalies within the body and fascia and her addition of Energy Medicine to the treatment is special.

I expect her to be teaching Level 1 Resilo® very soon!”

Chris Slocombe, Co-Founder & Master Practitioner

Why Emily has learnt this healing modality

Emily chose to train in this healing modality after it resolved chronic back pain she had had since she was 15 years old.

When Emily discovered Resilo she had no expectation that it would help. After a 15-minute taster treatment, she knew there was something different in the way that the gentle movement of the massage had had on her skeletal system. She was standing taller and her spine was more straight despite having scoliosis.

After 5 sessions she was pain-free for 3 months. She went to have a few more treatments and was pain-free for 6 months. Her spine no longer had to be cracked back into alignment and her muscles had regained their cellular memory of how to keep her spine in alignment on its own. Emily now has the occasional treatment to maintain her alignment but mainly because it feels so good!

Emily wanted to assist her yoga clients who were coming to the practice with historic injuries. Knowing her own success, she wanted to support her students on their healing journey too.

Is Resilo® Energy Physio for me?

If you are in pain, and/or, you want to feel better the simple answer is yes. If you have any chronic pain or feel out of alignment, then Resilo® will help you on your recovery journey. The gentle, wave-like motions, will help to bring you back into alignment and reawaken tissues that may have shut down due to past injury.

It is suitable for all ages and children also love it.

  • Fascia is the connective tissue that connects all parts of you together!

Your body’s communication system and nerves run through it.

When is is healthy and clear, you have an abundant energy flow in your body and no pain.

It’s a specialised, thin sheath of connective tissue (primarily collagen) that surrounds, supports, and separates muscles, nerves, organs, and blood vessels throughout the body. As a 3D, web-like structural network, it acts as a "body stocking" that reduces friction, provides structural integrity, and enables, flexibility, and muscle force transmission.

    • Deep, aching pain in a muscle,

    • Pain that doesn't go away or gets worse,

    • A tender, or deep-seeded, knot in a muscle,

    • Cellulite,

    • Trouble sleeping due to pain,

    • A general feeling of being not well, general malaise,

    • Tiredness.

  • One of the BEST side effects for Resilo!

Resilo works with the body’s fascial system, the soft, connective web that surrounds and supports everything within you. When fascia becomes tight or dehydrated, it can create subtle tension through the body, often keeping the nervous system in a more alert, restless state. This can show up at night as waking, racing thoughts, or difficulty settling into deeper sleep.

Through gentle, targeted fascial release, Resilo helps this inner web soften and rehydrate. As the body begins to feel safer and more supported, the nervous system can shift out of that heightened state and into rest. This is where sleep becomes more natural again. Not forced, not chased, but allowed.

Many people notice that their sleep begins to deepen, with fewer middle of the night disturbances and a greater sense of ease at bedtime. It is not just about falling asleep, but about feeling truly rested. A return to a rhythm the body already knows, when given the space to unwind.

  • No. My clients also share after treatments they notice added benefits including:

    • Arthritic pain reduction,

    • Improvement in Sleep,

    • Reduction of cellulite,

    • Weight loss,

    • Increased confidence,

    • Emotional releases and shifts,

    • Improvement of taste and smell,

    • Recovery from long covid,

    • Opening up spiritual awareness and energy, for example seeing auras,

    • Awareness and deep connection to patient’s energy levels and body,

    • and the list goes on!

This is why I adore giving this treatment; it absolutely fascinates and intrigues me. I’m always reading new books on Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Meridian Massage, Chinese 5 Element, Energy Medicine, Rolfing, Reiki, Egyptian Reflexology, Tensegrity (which may well be where the secret lies!) and various other books to find the answers and deepen my understanding!

  • It is recommended that you book two appointments, to begin with. The two appointments will cost £85 in total; each treatment is 55-60 minutes. Second treatments can be very powerful and hence why it is complementary.

    Follow-up appointments are £60.

Packages are available. Resilo® is incredible but two treatments are unlikely to fully restore a body that has been suffering for a long time. Six treatments did miracles to my back so it is what I would recommend if you want results that will last for years to come.

Many clients return for monthly top ups because it feels so good!

Packages - six treatments for £330 | eight treatments for £400

What my clients are saying

Photo of Fascia

Fascia should glide and move with the body. Due to wear and tear, fascia gets dehydrated, congested, lumpy (cellulite) and this means our body has to work much hard to function and aches and pains start to arise. In the photo you can see where it is congested. These are the areas Emily looks to release when she gives Resilo treatments. In freeing them, clients leave feeling lighter, with more clarity and more movement.

History of Resilo

This pioneering holistic bodywork was first developed as a stress technology for UK physiotherapy in the 1960's, by using the form theory. By 1970 becoming the world's first functional therapy. Not treating the physical problem directly, but the hidden mechanism behind it. In other words, by changing the body's response-ability.

Keith Slocombe, coming from a medical background, knew he was observing something unusual and first coined the term 'Resilo Reflex' in 1969. Rather like switching a reflex back on that had been switched off by an injury. The body literally springs back into life again.

Emily has been trained by Keith’s son, Chris Slocombe, who has been practising and teaching the Resilo technique for 40 years.
