I am one of 5 Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga) teachers in the UK and I would love to introduce you to the beauty and manifestation of Energy Medicine Yoga through the Wood Element which transforms anger into assertive action.
This retreat integrates Energy Medicine and yoga to amplify the benefits of your yoga practice without increasing the time devoted to it. For beginners and experts alike; EMYoga fits into any yoga style.
In this retreat we are going to delve into one of the five Chinese Elements, WOOD.
Wood is the element of the spring. SPRING. The season of rebirth. The buds start to appear on the trees, flowers push up from earth, sometimes when it's still covered in snow. New beginnings, warth, and more light remind us of our resilience, of the constant cycles , that the dawn always comes after dark.
The two meridians in wood are Liver and Gallbladder. It's fitting in that the liver is the only organ in the body that can rebuild itself even if 80% of the tissue is destroyed. The very definition of renewal. The liver is responsible for removing toxins, creating hormones, and cleaning the blood. Energetically it is responsible for the smooth flow of chi, or life-force energy in the body. It's also in charge of the smooth flow of blood through the body , and as a result of those two dynamics, the smooth flow of emotions. If your emotions aren't able to move through you, they become stuck and cause myriad problems. So it is important that the wood element is balanced, giving you the strength to deal with whatever comes at you.
The gallbladder is responsible for helping the body digest fats, the most important nutrient in the body, Every single cell is cased in fat. Your brain is more than 60% fat. Your body is encased in a layer of protective fat. Fat helps you create healthy hormones. And fat is necessary for those hormones to be utilised. Fats are necessary and also challenging for the body to digest, and they rely on the enzymes that the gallbladder releases to do so Although the gallbladder is a small organ, it has an important and difficult job.
I will teach more about the Wood Element and the emotions associated with it, such as the challenging emotion: anger and the balancing emotions: assertive action.
The Yoga will revitalise your energy while the nidra will leave you restored and relaxed. Yoga Nidra is a beautiful guided meditation that is equivalent to four hours of sleep.
Beginners are welcome and no knowledge of meridians or energy is required.

I will provide a short quiz for you to complete, we will discuss this and then I will create a practice based on your elements and needs for your healing and health. Investment: £60 includes:
