Weekend Retreat

Learn to Manifest with Energy Medicine Yoga & Nidra Retreat

1-3 November 2024

Following the success of my previous Learn to Manifest retreats, I am thrilled to be hosting my more in 2024 at the picturesque setting of Holland House. It is a perfect setting to relax, nestle and find peace so you can focus on You, Your wishes, Your dreams, Your desires. I love hosting retreats at Holland House due to the incredible care of by the staff and despite the age of the building it is always impeccably clean and the food is delicious!

During this retreat, I will be weaving manifestation techniques into our yoga practices and during yoga Nidra so that you can learn to MANIFEST your wildest dreams, your deepest loves, and boundless abundance into our reality.

Sound too good to be true? I thought so too, but in January 2021 I delved deeper into Energy Medicine Yoga and discovered all my dreams really can come true by simply changing my energetic habits. Since I have been sharing these techniques not only do I see them work but so do my students!

".... and like that it happened!! Emily, thank you so much for sharing the weekend teaching me how to manifest. I've been using the easy, energy, manifesting techniques almost daily and things I have wanted for years are appearing. I am so pleased I had to share! Thank you so much!" Retreat guest, 2022

So I warmly invite you to spend the weekend away manifesting and planting your seeds of desire, love and joy with me. Here is what the weekend with include:

* 2 Manifestation-focused Energy Medicine Yoga practices

* 2 Yoga Nidras - sleep yoga - equivalent to 4 hours of sleep!

* 2 Mindful Hatha Yoga practices and meditations

* 2 Manifestation energy technique workshops

* 2 nights accommodation

* Mindful walks around the beautiful gardens, and

* Locally sourced organic, vegetarian meals and snacks.

If you would like to learn to co-create with the universe using the knowledge that in order to manifest your true desires, you need to stop working at cross-purposes and learn to shift your energy first. It’s a reconciliation between the conscious and the unconscious. Understand the true magic of life with all of its everyday miracles and synchronicities. Learn how to craft your dreams in a way that they can be heard.

The Yoga

This retreat gives you a chance to reconnect with your body and mind. It allows you to understand the subtle messages your body gives you and how to enhance the flow of energy to release blockages.

The intention for the weekend is to offer relaxed, but informative yoga covering various aspects of asana, breathing, and relaxation. Students will have the time and opportunity to explore yoga and their body’s energy in an experiential and enquiring way.

In the mornings we will start with Energy Medicine Yoga to enhance the flow of energy in our body along the meridians and in the evenings the Yoga will be a mindful exploration.

I lead very mindful Yoga practices which give you the opportunity to get to know your body and mind better. To understand how it is feeling at that moment and learn what feels good to help and support you in future practices but also day to day.

The Energy Workshops

Everything in the universe is energy vibrating at different frequencies. If you want to affect the physical matter that is your body and the invisible matter that is your mind and your soul, you can learn how to work with your own personal energy.

The workshops will introduce you to your energy body and I will share tips and techniques to help support your body and mind when they need some support re-balancing.

The Venue

Holland House has three acres of beautiful well-maintained gardens sloping down to the River Avon. With many quiet spaces and private spots for relaxation and reflection, there is much interest to be found in the garden which is naturally divided between formal and natural areas. Paths lead down to the riverside and the landing stage for the Holland House rowing boat.

Formal areas of the garden include well-maintained lawns, one of which is often used for croquet during the summer months and deep colourful borders planted in the original Georgian style.  A recently redesigned rose garden dedicated to The Friends of Holland House contains 120 roses and is under-planted with natural annuals such as fox-glove, nigella and verbascum, the beds being bordered by lavender, box and alchemilla mollis. This beautiful garden is at its best during June and July and can be found opposite the Chapel behind a historic yew hedge that has unusual ‘windows’ cut into it to let in light.

By the Reception, there is a remarkable sunken garden now filled with culinary and medicinal herbs. This is in the Sir Edwin Lutyens style and is reputed to have been designed by him. Sir Edwin is described as “surely the greatest British architect of the twentieth (or of any other) century”, and went on to design the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London, and the city of New Deli in India.

It also has a lovely labyrinth made from fallen branches and other natural objects we found in the garden. This has become a special place for many, and guests can often be seen tracing its gentle and mysterious paths as they walk slowly around it.

Holland House's garden is home to many interesting species of plants and animals, including a descendant of the pre-historic Ginkgo tree and Wollemi Pine. There is also a mature Walnut tree and Atlantic and Lebanon cedars. Down by the river you may spot Kingfishers or the white-legged Damselfly (platycnemis pennipes) and also hear Green and Greater Spotted Woodpeckers. In the evening Tawny Owls can also be seen around the gardens. Dr Paul Smith, Professor of Botany, completed a natural history of our gardens and said that “such houses have a vital role to play in the future conservation of wildlife”.

The Kitchen Garden

Holland House has its own large kitchen garden which is situated behind the greenhouse which you are welcome to explore.  We grow a variety of vegetables and soft fruit, including fresh figs, raspberries and blackcurrants which supply our kitchen. Their two fine chefs are dedicated to providing the best meals for guests. They understand that the best hospitality starts in the kitchen, and to that end, they work hard to provide top-quality meals made with care and attention. They also have an ethos of buying as much local produce, some home-grown, free-range, organic, and MSC sourced fish whenever possible and practical. British Farm Standard is our minimum requirement.

The House provides a wide variety of health-related variations to all the meals, including gluten-free cake vegetarian, pescatarian, or vegan meals. The ethos of Holland House is that we have a dining room (not a restaurant) and that we eat the same meal together, as you would at home – hopefully achieving a sense of being together in a welcoming home, rather than a hotel or restaurant. Holland House works hard to cut down on waste and only cook to order.

Homemade jams and pickles from our kitchen are available to take home after your stay and during the summer months, we also have plants from our gardens available to purchase.

Sweet dreams:

Accommodation at Holland House includes 27 bedrooms, meeting rooms, a Chapel and gardens. The modern block includes 18 bedrooms. This block includes a purpose-built room for people with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair. The ‘Anthony Gell Suite’ includes twin beds and a modern wet room situated on the ground floor.

The oldest part of the House dates from the early seventeenth century. Here you find a comfortable Reception area, Library Room, Drawing Room and a beamed Dining Room with an inglenook fireplace. Upstairs we have a selection of mostly twin bedrooms, and study rooms. The ‘Library Loft’ bedroom has a small sitting area, perfect for retreat leaders or those engaged in study or one to one meetings. Due to the age of the house, bedrooms are not ensuite but there are 8 shower/bathrooms spread around the house and plenty of toilets.
