A Loving Letter to Those Living with Fibromyalgia
A healing invitation through Resilo Fascia Therapy
Fibromyalgia is not imagined. It is not weakness. It is not “just stress.” From my experience it is the body’s language, often the only language it has left when every other signal has been overlooked, silenced, or misunderstood. And what it is saying is this: “Enough. Please. Enough.”
As a fascia therapist, energy worker, and yoga teacher, I’ve worked with many clients who carry the weight of this diagnosis. Some don’t even use the word. They just say things like:
“I’m tired all the time…”
“I ache, but doctors find nothing…”
“My body feels like it’s buzzing, on edge, or frozen.”
What I’ve come to understand is this: fibromyalgia is often the echo of a life lived in survival mode. A nervous system that has been on high alert for years. A fascia system that has armoured up to protect you and has now become the very thing that holds you in pain.
Fascia Remembers Everything
Fascia isn’t just tissue. It’s connective intelligence and I absolutely adore working with it. It weaves through your whole body: physical, emotional, and energetic. When we experience trauma (big or small), the fascia can tighten, twist, brace. During Resilo I look for these spots in the body and work with them till they soften or release fully. Over time, this builds up patterns of restriction and pain not just in muscles or joints, but deep within the fabric of your being. This impacts the whole structure of the body, pulling and contorting it out of shape. To begin with on a minor level but unless that congested fascia is released it continues to hold and create pain, fatigue and discomfort in the body.
And unlike a massage or stretch, Resilo works with the living memory of the fascia. It listens. It unwinds. It releases, not by force, but by gentle rocking motion.
What Happens in a Resilo Session?
Each session is gentle but profound. I use slow, sustained holds, guided pressure, and intuitive listening to help your fascia resile to bounce back, to return to its natural flow.
You may feel warmth.
You may feel emotion.
You may feel your nervous system finally take a deeper breath.
And yes, you may talk; remember an old injury. Or you may go quiet. Some clients work with their breath which I find is a profound way to help the body and fascia heal. Resilo meets you where you are.
This Is for the Ones Who Are Ready
Not everyone is ready to heal. Some peaople are still in survival mode which I understand. Capable people keep going, ticking off items on their To Do lists and ignoring the signals of their body. But if something in you, even a whisper, says: “I ready to feel better; I don’t want to feel like this any more. then you’re ready.
So if you are tired of being dismissed, tired of feeling like you have to apologise for your pain, tired of trying so hard to feel okay…
Then I invite you to come lie down and let your body relax. Let your fascia remember softness again.
Because healing is not something you achieve, it’s something you allow.
And Resilo is a beautiful place to begin.
