🌿 What is Light Language?

Light Language is an intuitive form of communication or expression that moves beyond the structures of our familiar spoken languages. For some people it arrives through spontaneous sounds or vocalisations. There may be tones, rhythms, syllables or melodies that seem to emerge without conscious thought. For others, it may arrive through the hands, through movement, through drawing or through symbols and written forms. There isn't one particular way that Light Language is supposed to look or sound; in fact it cane very particular to the individual (as we are all unique with our own lineage and history). It is always interesting to noticing what happens when we allow ourselves to express without needing to know exactly what we're expressing.

🗣️ Spoken Light Language

You may be most familiar with is spoken Light Language also known as Speaking in Tongues. It may sound like a mix of foreign lanugages, words or syllables, or it may be more melodic, rhythmic or tonal. Some people sing it, some speak it, and some find that it naturally moves between the two.

For people who have begun experiencing this themselves, it can be quite a curious thing. They may wonder:

Where did that come from?

What am I saying?

Am I making this up?

And that's part of the exploration. There is no need to have all the answers before you begin.

✍️ Written and Symbolic Light Language

Light Language can also express itself through writing and symbols. You might find yourself drawing shapes, patterns, glyphs or symbols without consciously planning what they will look like. The experience is less about creating something that can be intellectually decoded and more about allowing something within you to find a visual form. You may already have experienced these doodles without calling it Light Language. You may have seen symbols in your meditation, dreams or creative work or simply felt drawn to particular shapes and patterns.

This evening gives you space to be curious about those experiences.

🤲 Movement and Energetic Expression

Light Language can also be expressed through the body. For some people, this might involve dance, hand gestures, movement or spontaneous physical expression when you’re doing or thing about something you’re passionate about. As you do this, you may feel your energy move through the field to help heal yourself, others or simply as enjoyable movement. My hands tend to weave a lot of light into people’s auric field or remove blockages in during reiki. Codes also get woven into the field and it happens so fast that I just let them move and enjoy the feeling of the energy flowing from the palms of my hands and finger tips!

The hands may seem to have their own language; a movement may arise before you've thought about making it. You may find yourself tracing shapes through the air, moving your hands in particular ways or allowing your body to respond to sound. Again, there is no right or wrong way to experience this.

It's simply another doorway into expression.

🌙 An evening to listen and explore

This isn't a workshop where you need to learn how to do Light Language and it's not an evening where anyone needs to demonstrate anything.

Instead, it's an opportunity to listen, explore and be together. I'll share some of my own experiences and expressions of Light Language, and there will be space for others who have begun exploring it to share their stories too. You might discover that someone else's experience sounds remarkably similar to your own or you might hear a sound or see a symbol that feels warmly familiar. Or you may simply enjoy listening to something wonderfully different.
